About Us
The original aim was to serve good, wholesome food to a maximum of just over 70 seated customers at any one time. However, as a result of a lot of hard work and enthusiasm, Sohrab has expanded his premises twice to accomodate all those wishing to dine there. The result is that the restaurant now seats 180 people comfortably and its popularity is proof that all the hard work by Sohrab, Valerie and their team of 40 has paid off.
Great care is always taken to please diners and extensive menu has been revised numerous times over the years to meet the ever changing tastes and appetites of both new and regular visitors along with the Sunday Carvery and lunchtime menu.
Sohrab is always open to new ideas and believes listening to what your customers want is key to success in the catering industry. A friendly welcome is always assured at Caspian but the main reason that customers return time and again is for the quality of the food served. Sohrab and his chefs seek only to use the best local produce available, with all the beef and steaks coming from cattle reared by Cumbrian farmers in the Lake District.
The restaurant is open every day from 11am-11pm offering a wide range of starters, main courses, desserts and children’s meals. The fully stocked bar can quench any thirst with both refreshing alcoholic and soft drinks, including coffees and teas. Moreover, our takeaway lunch time menu with healthy options can be collected or delivered until very late evening.
Sohrab and Valerie fully appreciates they could not have achieved so much without the support of all his customers in the West Cumbria area and will therefore do all in their power to ensure that Caspian continues to fly the flag for good food at value for money prices.
